Harris Direct Import Instructions

NOTE:
On January 11, 2006, your Harrisdirect account(s) were automatically transferred to E*TRADE Securities. Please see our E*Trade Financial import filter user guide for import instructions.

General Procedure:

1.  Run Harris Direct MarketSpeed application and click on the Brokerage tab, and select the History button.

2.  Select All Transactions and Date Range from the drop down dialog boxes
     to display the From To date boxes.

3.  Enter a From and To date range and click the Refresh button to display your trades.
     To display ten additional transactions, click More. 
     Continue until data from the date range is in the active window. 

4.  Right-Click on the title bar (for example on Activity)
     Select Save to file 

5.  A Save as Text File dialog box allows you to save the file to your hard drive.

    Make sure you Save in: your "c:\my documents\TradeLog\import" folder.

    Give the file a name such as "2004 Harris Marketspeed" 
    - the *.txt file extension will be automatically appended to the name.

    Click the Save button to save.

7.  Run TradeLog.

8.  Click on the Harris Imp speed button and and select the file you just saved from the 
     Harris Import dialog box.

9. All of your trades will be automatically imported and matched.

10. If the Trades already imported warning dialog box pops up, it alerts you to the fact
      that you may already have some trades imported up to the date shown.  

      You can either import from the next date onward, or import all of the trades copied.
