Southwest Securities Import Instructions:

NOTES:

• TradeLog® imports the Daily Margin Report from Southwest Securities provided it has the proper format.   Click here to see a sample of the proper report format.

   

• Many online brokerages use variations of this report.  

   

• Any variation in format from the sample above will cause import errors.

General Procedure:

1. Log on to your online trading web site and go to the customer reports section.

    

2. Select "View Trade Reports" and click on the latest Trade report. (ie: Trades-000809.txt)

    

3. A new browser window will open with your Margin report.

    

   PLEASE WAIT FOR REPORT TO FINISH LOADING!

    

4. Use Edit, Select All. (Ctrl-A shortcut) to select the entire page.

   ... or ...

   Use your mouse to select the report table.

    

   Please make sure you select the field name header line.

5. Copy the report data using your web browsers Edit, Copy   command (Ctrl-C keyboard shortcut)

    

6. Run TradeLog®

    

7. Click on the SWS Imp speed button and your trades will be automatically imported and matched.
