After running step 6 of the New Users Quick Start Guide your TradeLog software would have created a file for the next tax year. If you did not complete this step previously you will need to do so now. End the tax year
To locate your TradeLog data file to continue importing trades for your next tax year, go to File, Open within the software. A pop-up window will appear listing all available TradeLog data files.
Notice that the files have the same name but the prefix year will show the next data file to be used.
Left-click on the data file to be used and then push Open.
Your next year's data file will open and contain any open positions from the end of the prior year, wash sale deferrals, and January trades of the current year if you were not MTM.
